Cyprus is an island country and part of Europe. It located in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea and it is one of the biggest islands in the Mediterranean after the Italian islands Sicily and Sardinia. Geographically, Cyprus is located in Western Asia, and has two main international airports Larnaka’s airport and Pafo’s airport. However, it has been massively influenced by Southeastern European culture over the years and it is a member of European Union since 2004. It has a Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild, rainy winters.
Cyprus attracts a lot of tourists all year around for its beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters, and tourism is vital to its economy. Cyprus however combines beautiful landscapes on the mountains and has hidden gems of rock climbing areas !
Climbing is becoming more and more popular and it attracts a lot of nature lovers, adrenaline seekers, sport enthusiasts, families and people in general who wants to experience new adventures in nature.
Cyprus has a lot to offer as there is a big variety of climbing areas all over the island. Since i have moved to Cyprus i offer some climbing classes and guiding on the climbing areas.
The sectors Diarizos and Droushia Gerakopetra are ideal for beginners and for climbers who wants to learn safely lead climbing and transit from indoor to outdoor.
